Compelled to Crave by Erika Trevathan

Hello! If you are in the mood for some sexy vampire goodness, check out Compelled to Crave by the fabulous Erika Trevathan.

Here's the blurb:

*In the dark heat of a Louisiana night, handsome and magnetic Dristan St. Julien materialized at Madelyn Brantley’s side and rescued her from an evil she never knew existed – and then disappeared just as abruptly.

Suddenly, Madelyn’s life becomes one big mystery as she tries to resist Dristan’s charm and sensuality while desperately attempting to unravel the mystery surrounding his connection to the discovery of a young woman’s centuries-old journal.

As Madelyn probes deeper and deeper in her search for answers, she begins to realize that the superstitions and myths, that run rampant through her hometown of New Orleans, are not necessarily as mythical as she once thought.

But nothing could prepare Madelyn for her biggest discovery: the provocative and ever-blurring lines between love, life and death. *

Good stuff!

A conversation between me & you: Series Update

A brief conversation between me and you.

Me: Hello Lovely.

You: Hey, Galya. Where have you been?

Me: Writing.

You: Something I want to read, I hope.

Me: Yeah, I hope so too. Here's my writing update:

~ May 1st I will launch History of the Vampire. It is a prequel to Jessie and Aurora's story, featuring Jessie and Colette.

You: What?! How did this whole prequel thing happen?

Me: Well, I was re-reading all three Jessie and Aurora books so that I had everything up to speed in my brain when I realized that I wanted to tell more of Colette's story. So I started making notes while reading, which became (is becoming) History of the Vampire. (BONUS! ~ In this book, you get to read 1/2 the story from Jessie's perspective, so that's been a lot of fun to write.)

But do not fret, my lovely, if you are chomping at the bit to read Aurora's fate...

~ July 1st (Or hopefully even June 15th) I will launch the next Jessie and Aurora story. Currently untitled, but I'm shadow writing it as I write History. A bit tricky, but it's working.

~ And then the next Dorian and Haley story. Don't really have a date for that launch yet, but probably late summer/ early fall.

All this is dependent upon the daughter not bringing home any more miserable colds, of course. And no company trying to lure me away with some writing gig that I need to take so that said daughter can keep wearing shoes and going to pre-school. Plus, there's the rent to pay. No easy feat in San Francisco.

You: Okay, thanks for clearing all that up. But I was kind of expecting the next Jessie and Aurora story, so I'm a little confused.

Me: I promise you that History of the Vampire will scratch your itch.

You: Okay, I trust you. But don't try to cross me. Or else... (menacing gesture)
